Ideas

1. Break a person's computer so that they have to both live without it for a while and aquire the means to replace the broken computer which they have relied upon too much. Think parent's-basement-WOW-playing-type-person.
2. Allow someone's boyfriend/girlfriend to cheat with you so that the other person can see how worthless their significant other really is.
3. Mix up mail in neighbor's mailboxes; force them to interact to eachother.
